(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — IT hosting provider The Planet (www.theplanet.com) is sponsoring a seminar and networking event in New York City that discusses how businesses can use a combination of hosting technologies to stretch their IT budgets.
According to The Planet, “The Movement Toward Zero CapEx IT” will be held at Hill Country restaurant April 22 from 4 to 7pm, featuring in8 Mobile (www.in8mobile.com) president Alex Hyman, and the Planet storage and data protection general manager Rob Walters and product marketing senior manager Carl Meadows as speakers.
“In today’s difficult economic environment, companies are exploring opportunities to reduce their IT infrastructure costs,” the Planet marketing and product management vice president Steve Kahan said in a statement. “New York is a hotbed of technology development, and we have a number of customers located in the area. We’ll offer an overview on hosting opportunities and also speak with existing customers who plan to join us.”
In addition to the discussion, The Planet, proud of its Texas roots, will offer attendees the opportunity to enjoy cocktails and appetizers at Texas-style barbeque Hill Country.
Tonight’s event is the second in The Planet’s “Zero CapEx IT” seminar series, with the next event happening June 11 in Chicago.
