November 15, 2005 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Digital certificate authority thawte (thawte.com) announced late last week that it had updated its Flash-based integration tool thawte in-a-box, enabling partners to resell digital certificates directly from their Web sites.
“Thawte in-a-box was developed in Flash to address the need for a lightweight, rapid integration mechanism that specifically focuses on the enrollment processes enabling end customers to purchase and renew our products,” says Ilse Baxter, director of business strategy, sales and marketing at thawte.
With the enhancements, partners can configure thawte in-a-box to display any combination of products for sale, Baxter says. The company’s code signing certificate is also available through the tool.
The application, hosted by thawte, can extend its capabilities to sub-resellers.
