Terremark to Host Global Peering Forum

The forum will be held in Miami, Florida on February 10-11, 2004.

Terremark said the forum is designed to provide a neutral environment for peering coordinators from around the world to discuss interconnection of their autonomous networks.

The event will also include presentations by industry experts. Andy Burnette, vice president of technology for Terremark, will present “Photonic Peering” at the forum, analyzing future trends for rapid deployment of peering directly between optical networks.

According to Terremark, participants at this first TerreBit Forum include peering coordinators from AOL, BellSouth, Comcast, Yahoo and Terremark customers such as Cable and Wireless USA, Cogent, Flag, France Telecom, MCI, T-Systems, Telecom Italia, Teleglobe, and Packet Clearing House, among others.
