Terremark Deploys Platform at NAP

September 11, 2007 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — IT infrastructure solutions provider Terremark Worldwide (terremark.com) announced on Tuesday it has deployed its Infinistructure utility computing platform at the NAP of the Americas, the company’s flagship data center. The platform will benefit Terremark’s customers and has been met with high demand from current and newly signed customers, including Mansueto Ventures, which owns the Inc. and Fast Company business titles.

Infinistructure’s enterprise-class server and storage infrastructure combines Terremark’s proprietary digitalOps service management platform with virtualization technology from partners including VMWare, Cisco and HP, providing a highly scalable and flexible high-performance computing platform.

The platform’s on-demand network, storage and computing architecture enables customers to precisely match their infrastructure requirements to their business needs, while using a fully managed solution with plug-and-play access to network connectivity from more than 180 carriers.

“Our proprietary Infinistructure utility platform makes it possible for Terremark to deliver unmatched IT infrastructure services in world-class facilities while providing our customers the freedom to choose the most relevant carrier — a feat unmatched by any provider today,” says Manuel D. Medina, chairman and CEO of Terremark Worldwide. “Our current customers and prospects are excited about the deployment of the platform in the NAP of the Americas, and we believe that this excitement will spur continued demand for our managed services.”

Terremark announced last month it closed a $250 million debt financing, which was placed by Credit Suisse.
