According to the report, Terra issued a statement, saying that it was in the process of reviewing the possibility of selling some of its operating units. And while a number of alternatives were being considered for the US division, a final decision has not yet been made.

Lycos’ Internet properties include its Tripod and Angelfire Web hosting services, the Quote.com financial site, personals service Matchmaker.com and Wired News. Lycos is also heavily involved in the search space.
