(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Hosted, on-demand rich media communications provider IntelePeer (www.intelepeer.com) has partnered with network-neutral colocation and interconnection service provider Telx (www.telx.com), letting service providers at Telx quickly roll out advanced hosted voice and telecommunications services, and avoid pricey up-front costs.
According to Telx’s Tuesday announcement, IntelePeer will offer Telx’s colocation customers its ReachSuite-hosted voice and rich media applications, which reduces costs by routing communications through IntelePeer’s high-quality, carrier-grade global peering fabric.
“Telx customers include leading service providers, content providers and enterprises that demand premium performance and reliability to meet the demands of their business and consumer customers,” IntelePeer business development and marketing senior vice president John Hart said in a statement.
“IntelePeer ReachSuite applications offer the value these Telx customers need to stand apart from competitors in a crowded market, while delivering the carrier-grade performance they require. With our ReachSuite, they can quickly roll out new high-margin services that drive new productivity while reducing operational and telecommunications costs for their customers.”
IntelePeer uses its global infrastructure to offer its carrier-grade ReachSuite applications through a Software-as-a-Service delivery model, eliminating most up-front costs.
Telx product development and management vice president Rose Klimovich said Telx intends to offer customers the very latest communications technologies on a “Communications-as-a-Service” model. “IntelePeer offers our customers such turnkey communications solutions that help integrate phone, conferencing and electronic communication within familiar interfaces and in a cost-effective way,” Klimovich said in a statement.
In addition to communication services, Telx’s colocation centers offer premier space, with state-of-the-art access control and surveillance systems.
Last week, fiber-optic connectivity solution provider AboveNet (www.abovenet.com) chose a Telx data center for its new point of presence in Dallas, expanding its metro Ethernet network, letting customers link to AboveNet’s metro Ethernet network throughout Texas, as well as providing customers with connectivity to AboveNet’s eXpressWave long-haul network.
