September 11, 2001 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Telus Enterprise Solutions (telus.com) has signed a

three-year service provider program agreement with Hewlett-Packard Canada
r
Ltd. (canada.hp.com) to offer e-business hosting solutions to HP customers across Canada.

Telus is the first Canadian company to qualify for the HP Service Provider
r
Program, which is designed to propel service provider growth, generate
r
awareness and drive demand for joint HP and service provider solutions.
r
Program features include co-selling, incentive and co-marketing commitments.
r

Under the agreement, Telus will provide managed Web-hosting services and
r
expand its support of the HP-UX operating system nationally. HP will also be
r
Telus’s preferred Intel supplier. HP provides Telus with hardware
r
infrastructure throughout Telus’s intelligent Internet Data Centres across
r
Canada, including its two new facilities in Calgary and Toronto. HP sales
r
representatives will also promote Telus hosting services to HP clients
r
nationally.

As a result of this relationship, Telus and HP will offer integrated hosting
r
solutions for Canadian businesses. “By aligning with HP’s best-in-class
r
products and its innovative approach to e.services, Telus will deliver
r
industry-leading e.business solutions to market,” said Garry Rasmussen,

president of Telus Enterprise Solutions. “In addition, we will leverage our

relationship as an HP service provider to set industry-leading benchmarks

for our intelligent Web solutions.”
