November 4, 2002 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Communications Carrier TELUS Corporation (TELUS.com) announced on Monday that two Verizon (verizon.com) executives, group president Daniel C. Petri and senior vice president and chief financial officer Alfred C. Giammarino, have joined its board.

The new appointments, says TELUS, replace Michael Masin, who recently became vice chairman and COO of Citigroup and Fares Salloum, who will be retiring at the end of the year.

Petri has 31 years of experience in the NYNEX, Bell Atlandic and Verizon organizations, most recently as president, International-Europe and Asia. Giammarino has 17 years with GTE and Verizon, most recently as senior vice president and CFO, information services and international.
