Telstra International's new London Hosting Centre.
(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Managed services provider Telstra International (www.telstrainternational.com) announced on Friday it has opened its new London Hosting Centre – Woking, the company’s third UK data center.
The new facility represents Telstra International’s continued investment in its global hosting footprint.
It marks the next stage in its evolution towards a full suite of managed services for its customers.
In September 2009, Telstra began construction on the facility, which adds 10,000 square feet of hosting space for customers seeking services such as colocation, managed hosting and network solutions.
It was built to meet increasing demand for hosting in the UK, and offers connectivity to the Telstra Global Next IP backbone network.
The facility provides customers with high density hosting, as well as disaster recovery options through resilient fiber optic cable feeds to Telstra International’s other UK data centers in central London and Cambridge.
“Telstra International is constantly evolving its services to deliver innovative, customer-driven solutions – from first-class hosting facilities to managed services and global connectivity options,” says Murray Hankinson, director of corporate development, strategy and global marketing at Telstra International. “We are extremely pleased that the London Hosting Centre – Woking is operational on schedule, ready to meet the changing demands of our customers worldwide, and provide them with a reliable hosting solution.”
