February 23, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Telecommunications provider Telehouse (telehouse.com) announced on Wednesday that it will hold its free, monthly Breakfast On Broadway seminar March 15, 2006, along with co-hosts connectivity provider (abovenet.com) AboveNet and non-profit property developer SIEDC (siedc.com).
March’s seminar will focus on the effect of the recent telecommunication industry mega-mergers and how to best take advantage of alternative regional and local network providers. Companies in attendance will learn what they can provide in terms of diverse routes, services and costs.
The discussion will also outline what companies need to provide to meet Federal regulations for disaster recovery and network diversity. Additionally, it will discuss how new fiber has created alternative communication routes bypassing Manhattan through Staten Island.
Additional topics include the economic opportunities provided by state and municipal government programs dealing with tax breaks, abatements, real estate and business development and how to obtain them. The seminar will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the BROADWAY Center in Manhattan.
