(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Telecommunications provide Telehouse America (www.telehouse.com) announced on Thursday it has opened its 39th data center, Telehouse Shanghai.
The announcement follows the recent opening of Telehouse’s new $120 million Telehouse West data center in Docklands, London, UK.
The new data center continues Telehouse’s on-going global expansion encompassing over 10 countries/territories across 21 regions.
Telehouse is part of the worldwide telecommunications provider KDDI Corporation. The new Shanghai data center is KDDI’s third Telehouse branded data center in China following the Beijing and Hong Kong facilities.
Launched by the strategic partnership with Shanghai Data Solution Co, Telehouse Shanghai is located in the Pudong district, the heart of the commercial and financial hub of China.
The new data center meets Telehouse’s high standards in order to meet and exceed the global demands of small, medium and large companies.
Telehouse Shanghai is equipped with best-in-class power supply system’s offering multiple layers of redundancy from primary power supplies, power substations, UPS, along with backup generators, guaranteeing the highest uptime ratings.
The facility also provides customers with high-level fire, high security availability, including 24-hour security guards, metal detectors, video surveillance and a facility access management system employing multiple security gates.
Additionally, the Telehouse Shanghai data center draws upon a network consisting of multiple communications providers, including China Telecom and China Unicom, to provide customers the ideal network environment for their equipment.
