(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Data center, Internet exchange, and managed IT services provider Telehouse America (www.telehouse.com) has launched ubiquitous IP Transit Services to provide reasonably priced Ethernet connectivity between the US and Europe.
Providing full protection and redundant global IP connectivity, according to its Thursday announcement, Telehouse’s new service offering is an ultra-fast ethernet IP interconnection service that offers high-speed transit services between its major data centers in the US and Europe, offering competitively priced Internet network capacity across a multi-backbone route.
In addition to its IP Transit Services, it now provides Global Interlink Ethernet Network connectivity across the Atlantic, including the Global Interlink Broadband Ethernet solution, available between Telehouse America’s two of its New York facilities and one in Los Angeles, and one of Telehouse Europe’s London facilities and two Paris-area facilities. In addition, access to the Global Interlink US-Europe Ethernet network is also available from and between Equinix’s facilities in Chicago, Illinois and Ashburn, Virginia as well as Switch and Data facilities located in Palo Alto, California and Dallas, Texas.
According to the company, together with its Manage-E services, introduced in November last year, Telehouse is now a total solution provider for the global communications marketplace. Its IP transit services also represent the company’s foray into providing direct Internet connectivity to its data center and colocation customers at its 25 Broadway and 7 Teleport facilities in New York City, and the 626 Wilshire Boulevard data center in Los Angeles.
Telehouse customers and prospects can also provide IP transit services access this service from nearly any major colocation or data center facility across America, regardless of whether it’s a Telehouse branded facility or not. The service is offered anywhere from 1 Mbps up to 10 Gbps commitments.
