Telefónica UK, which provides outsourced and fully managed IP solutions to corporate customers, and wholesale managed narrowband and broadband services to ISPs, says its latest addition will enable service providers to benefit from sourcing both upstream and downstream services through Telefónica UK.

The wholesale:transit service is targeted at ISPs, voice resellers, content providers and ASPs, and allows for direct connection, eliminating the need to connect through a Tier 1 ISP or engage in long access links to Germany or other points on the Telefónica network.

With more than 80 percent of all Spanish and Portuguese content behind Telefónica’s network, this new service also offers a dramatic boost for UK service providers specifically seeking access to Latin America and Spain.
