(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Telecommunications provider Telx (www.telx.com) announced on Wednesday it has named Michael Cattell its new vice president of financial markets.
The announcement comes just a few months after Telx appointed Brad Hokamp its new chief marketing officer.
Cattell has more than 17 years of experience in financial technology.
In his new role, Cattell will focus on the continued growth of the company’s products, services and strategies for the fast-growing financial vertical market.
“Telx welcomes Michael Cattell as an important part of our leadership staff in the fast-growing financial market,” says Hokamp. “Mike’s proven track record in driving results in the financial community, and his in-depth knowledge of the unique needs in this industry, make him an excellent addition to the Telx team.”
Cattell will drive all facets of the financial markets business line, including solution and market development, with a main focus on the continued growth of Telx’s Financial Business Exchange.
Before joining the Telx management team, Cattell was vice president of global hosting solutions for BT Radianz.
In this role hhe oversaw the development and implementation of the company’s suite of hosted connectivity solutions for the financial community in 10 markets worldwide.
Prior to that, he was vice president of global markets technology infrastructure for State Street Corporation, where he managed a global IT staff responsible for network operations, server management, database administration and application support of the company’s global link transaction and information platform.
