(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Telecommunications provider NTT America (www.nttamerica.com) announced on Wednesday it has named chief technology officer Kazuhiro Gomi the company’s chief operating officer.
Gomi will maintain his role as CTO, as well as lead the newly created enterprise solutions business unit.
Combining the resources of NTT Ameria’s Arcstar global private network services and enterprise hosting services, the enterprise solutions business unit will offer integrated, managed IT infrastructure solutions to enterprise customers.
The new business unit will play a leading role in NTT Communications’ ongoing expansion in the US market, including additional network infrastructure and new data center capacity.
In addition to ESBU services, NTT America continues to offer its global Tier-1 IP backbone services through the global IP network business unit, a division that Gomi will continue to lead.
“Enterprise customers expect us to deliver an expanding menu of standardized solutions while having the know-how to offer customized solutions where appropriate,” says Gomi. “Our Enterprise Solutions Business Unit will have the resources to satisfy such customer needs from the mid-markets up through the largest multinational firms.”
NTT America’s parent company, NTT Communications, is the largest telecommunications company in Asia and one of the largest in the world.
The telecommunications provider recently surpassed 200Gbps on its transpacific network.
The company provides data transport capabilities including enterprise hosting, managed network, and IP networking services for enterprise customers and service providers worldwide.
