Teleco Firm Telx Names Chief Marketing Officer

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Telecommunications provider Telx (www.telx.com) announced on Thursday it has named Brad Hokamp its new chief marketing officer.

Hokamp has more than 25 years of sales and marketing experience in the colocation, hosting and networking markets.

The appointment comes a few months after Telx named Paul Hopkins as its new vice president of sales for Western region.

In this role, he will focus on the continued growth of Telx’s financial services, carrier, service provider, software as a service and media/entertainment verticals.

More specifically, Hokamp will drive all areas of corporate and solutions marketing, including product marketing and distribution strategies, pricing and promotions, communications, public relations, strategic business development and customer support.

Prior to joining the Telx senior management team, Hokamp spent 10 years at Savvis, where most recently, he was the senior vice president of the hosting business unit, managing the full hosting and colocation organization.

He also served as senior vice president of sales for the eastern region and federal sales at Savvis, and also managed the product management and marketing organization.

Hokamp also spent 15 years in sales and marketing leadership roles at Sprint, where he primarily focused on the data communications and Internet services portfolios.
