June 25, 2007 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Colocation provider TelecityRedbus (telecityredbus.com) announced on Monday that it has been nominated in the Acquirer of the Year category at the Business XL Company of the Year Awards 2007 (companyoftheyearawards.co.uk). Results will be announced at a gala on July 3 at Gibson Hall in London, England.
TelecityRedbus says the Acquirer of the Year category recognizes outstanding strategic acquisitions and the company is being acknowledged for its integration of two market rivals, Telecity and Redbus Interhouse, as well as the subsequent acquisition of managed services company, Globix Holdings during 2006.
“After completing the successful merger of Telecity and Redbus Interhouse the acquisition of Globix was a logical next step. It has helped us develop our services expertise considerably while also expanding our footprint in London,” says Michael Tobin, CEO of TelecityRedbus. “I am delighted that we have been short-listed for the Acquirer of the Year category. This nomination is testament to the focus that all of our employees have maintained on delivering the best services possible to our customers across Europe.”
According to reports, the merger of Telecity and Redbus created one of the leading colocation providers in Europe and the subsequent acquisition of Globix UK has enabled TelecityRedbus to offer an extended portfolio of hosting and enterprise-focused services across the company.
TelecityRedbus recently achieved the ISO27001 certification for information security management systems in multiple data centers across Europe.
