TelecityRedbus Gets ISO Certified

April 24, 2007 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Colocation provider TelecityRedbus (telecityredbus.com) announced on Tuesday it has achieved the ISO27001 certification for information security management systems in multiple data centers across Europe.

TelecityRedbus says the certification demonstrates its commitment to the highest security standards and means customers can be confident that the company has implemented security precautions in accordance with international standards.

ISO27001 is one of the most rigorous international standards for system and physical security measures and replaces BS7799, the original British Standards Institute standard, says the company.

“ICT and telecommunications represent the primary means for delivering today’s business. Information security is a key concern for any organization and our customers need to be assured that they can outsource business critical applications safely,” says Mike Tobin, CEO of TelecityRedbus. “Achieving ISO27001 underscores our commitment to protecting our customers’ information assets and they can rest assured that their business critical information is protected by security procedures that meet international standards for best practice.”

Tobin also recently joined clean energy storage system manufacturer Pentadyne Power’s board of directors.
