December 3, 2003 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — TeleCity (telecity.co.uk), a pan-European data center services company, said on Tuesday that it has become a member of the Internet Services Providers’ Association, a UK Internet trade association.

“Internet Service Providers have always made up a significant proportion of our customer base,” said Simon Bushell, country manager for TeleCity UK & Ireland. “We feel strongly that becoming an active member of the ISPA will allow us to build upon our already strong relationship with the ISP community, and ensure we play an active role in the promotion of issues affecting our ISP and Web Hosting customers.”

The company also said that its CEO Rick Hudson will sit on the judging panel for the 2004 ISPAs, the 6th annual UK Internet industry awards. TeleCity said it is sponsoring the ‘Best Hosting Provider’ category for the event. In 2003, TeleCity won the ‘Best Colocation Provider’ award.

In conjunction with the announcement, TeleCity said it is offering a two-month trial of its managed services to ISPA members who sign up this month. The services include monitoring, back-up, managed IP and security management. The company also said it is adding 10 percent to the contract life of all deals signed during December.
