October 9, 2003 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- TELEHOUSE America (telehouse.com) announced today that it has completed an agreement with FiberNet Telecom Group, Inc. (ftgx.com) to offer TELEHOUSE customers ethernet distribution to the New York International Internet Exchange (NYIIX) within its 60 Hudson Street facility.

"The agreement supplements our extensive data center and Internet exchange infrastructure in New York City and provides our customers with even greater network reliability through enhanced diversity and redundancy" said Hideki Akazawa, president and CEO of TELEHOUSE.

FiberNet will also provide ethernet service for the NYIIX from 60 Hudson to TELEHOUSE?S facility at 25 Broadway Center.

"As one of the leading operators of colocation services and back-up facilities in the New York region, TELEHOUSE is focused on enabling companies to expand their services by utilizing our fiber optic infrastructure to expand the New York International Internet Exchange," said Michael Liss, president and CEO of FiberNet. "We look forward to growing with TELEHOUSE and continuing to serve the New York business community."

According to the company, the agreement also simplifies the process for TELEHOUSE customers at 60 Hudson Street to connect to the NYIIX by eliminating the extra step of separately negotiating an in-house fiber run to the NYIIX suite.
