Tech Firms Make Deloitte 2009 Technology Fast 500

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — International accounting and consulting firm Deloitte (www.deloitte.com) announced the 2009 Technology Fast 500 winners, which highlights the top 500 fastest-growing technology companies in the United States and Canada.

Among those companies included on the list were Infinera in second place, Data Domain in seventh, Layered Tech at 60th, Limelight Networks at 140th, Terremark Worldwide at 158th, Netezza at 164th, BTI Systems at 171th, NetSuite at 177th, AppRiver at 180th, EasyLink Services International at 198th, Salesforce.com at 199th, Google at 229th, The Go Daddy Group at 230th, iMergent at 252th, Fortinet at 287, Red Hat at 377th, Apple at 401th, Akamai at 420th, and Symantec at 497th.

Established in 1997 in California’s “Silicon Valley,” the Technology Fast 500 program is based on percentage fiscal year revenue growth over a five year period.

The list recognizes all areas of technology, including the Internet, life sciences, computers and semiconductors, as well as includes both public and private companies.

The annual ranking is similar to Inc. magazine’s Inc. 5000, which highlights the nation’s fastest-growing US private companies.
