April 7, 2003 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider TBhost.com (TBhost.com) announced on Friday that it has added a new user control panel to its complete range of Windows 2000 Web hosting plans, at the same time lowering the costs of some of the company’s most popular hosting plans.

The addition of the new control panel, says TBhost.com, gives Windows 2000 customers a previously unavailable level of control over their hosting environments. The unbranded control panel is set up to allow further support for the company’s reseller program as well. Resellers can choose whether to manage their customer’s sites, or allow customers to manage their own sites using the control panel.

“Our customers that were previously hosted on the old system have had an unexpectedly enthusiastic reaction to the new control panel,” says TBhost.com president John Kaufman. “They feel like they now have most of the control that they would expect to have on a fully dedicated server, including the ability to start and stop the server, on a site by site basis, manage their own DNS and completely customize their hosting environment to their own needs.”

As a side effect of the reduced support costs, says TBhost.com, the company has been able to lower its prices on all Windows 2000 hosting plans. The new “Starter 2000″ plan is available for $14.95 per month, $3 less than the previously lowest-priced plan, and featuring twice the disk space.
