Tata and Telx Sign Colocation Partnership

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Indian telecommunications giant Tata Communications (www.tatacommunications.com) announced on Friday it has signed a global agreement with data center provider Telx (www.telx.com), where Tata will offer Telx customers complete colocation services in North America, India, EMEA and APAC.

In a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange, the companies said that for contact for contractual arrangements.

The partnership will leverage each firm’s colocation space in their respective countries of operation.

They will cooperate to develop a portfolio of managed services to support their customers.

The companies will also offer bundle joint solutions including Tata Communication’s managed security, data center services, and transformation services to enhance capabilities offered to their shared clients.

Tata customers that need US data center space or access to Telx Internet Exchange will be able to use the Tata Communications account management team in Telx facilities.

“This agreement enables TCom to leverage its position in the global communications market while extending its reach in the US through the local facilities of Telx,” says Vinod Kumar, president and COO of Tata Communications. “Telx with its local market expertise and densely populated colocation facilities matches our commitment to deliver solutions to our customers in the United States.”
