July 13, 2004 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting automation software developer SWsoft (sw-soft.com) announced on Tuesday that it had released version 2.6 of its virtualization solution Virtuozzo. The newly released version includes 50 new features, the company said, and is capable of creating thousands of virtual private servers on a single standalone box. Among the new features are a control panel for VPS IP, reboot working “out of the box,” Sendfile over VZFS support, Vzlist utility and name based hosting support.

SWsoft says Virtuozzo 2.6 is compatible with both 32-bit and 64-bit Unix/Linux platforms, adding that Virtuozzo for Windows and Solaris will be released later this year.

Virtuozzo is Plesk ready, features a clean user interface and comes with complete international language packs.
