SWsoft Partners With Fotolia

May 24, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Server virtualization and automation software provider SWsoft (swsoft.com) announced on Wednesday it has signed a strategic partnership with Fotolia (fotolia.com), a public marketplace for royalty-free stock images. The agreement will enable SWsoft hosting providers to resell Fotolia’s database of more than 600,000 inexpensive, royalty free stock images and illustrations.

“Most Web sites and blogs need images and with Fotolia’s unique technology and service provider business model, we aim to provide a solution at a very attractive price point,” says Serguei Beloussov, CEO of SWsoft. “Now, with our special arrangement with Fotolia, hosting service providers can come to us directly to offer literally hundreds of thousands of high quality images at bargain prices to their end customers.”

Fotolia offers rapidly growing databases of royalty-free images, photos and illustrations. Users can purchase images to be used as long and as often as they wish for Web site illustrating, digital advertising, blogs, newsletters, print campaigns, package designs, or printing on T-shirts and mugs. This is made possible with a standard royalty-free license with prices starting at $1.00 per image.

Web hosting providers can receive additional discounts and promotional opportunities through SWsoft, adding royalty free images and illustrations to their hosting businesses. 1&1 Internet is currently generating additional revenue by using Fotolia’s royalty free image service.
