Verio Attracts Resellers with Free Month of VPS Hosting: Companies looking to boost revenues are finding Verio's Free VPS promotion the right fit for getting started as Hosting Reseller.

June 3, 2004 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting automation software developer SWsoft (sw-soft.com) announced on Thursday that it has released a beta version of the Plesk 7 control panel for Windows. The company said the full release of the product is expected in July.

"Plesk 7 for Windows has been developed in response to broad customer feedback, and this release offers what our customers expect from us - features, stability, security and scalability that are extremely valuable for professional hosting providers," says Kurt Daniel, director of marketing for SWsoft. "In addition, what we found is that a large percentage of Windows servers are used by end-customers. Plesk 7 for Windows provides a single, complete and simple browser based management interface for a commercial customer who uses the Windows server for their own solution."

According to SWsoft, the new Plesk 7 control panel includes features exclusive to the Windows platform and maintains all the functionality of the Plesk for Linux control panel. Some of the features of Plesk 7 for Windows include native Windows support, anti-virus Integration, firewall management, MS-SQL Web management and others.

"Windows hosting is one of the most significant growth opportunities in our industry," says Serguei Beloussov, CEO of SWsoft. "To support this, Plesk for Windows fully leverages Microsoft's Windows server guidelines, and enables 100 percent native Windows hosting utilizing the same and very familiar Plesk 7 interface."

SWsoft launched Plesk 7 in February of this year, the second upgrade to the control panel since SWsoft acquired Plesk a year ago. SWsoft made Plesk compatible with the Windows platform last November with the release of Plesk 6.5. Last week, SWsoft released Plesk Expand, an add-on to the Plesk control panel that gives hosting providers the ability to centrally manage multi-server Plesk environments.
