(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Switzerland-based web hosting provider Hostpoint (www.hostpoint.ch) announced on Wednesday that it has launched its e-commerce cloud service platform.
According to Hostpoint, it will offer the basic edition of ePages (www.epages.com) for a “quick and easy” way to set up an online shop at no extra cost with its smart and business web hosting package.
Hostpoint says there are more than 100 shop design templates for customers to choose from, and there are three different versions to suit online merchants of any size.
Depending on which version customers choose, Hostpoint says the shops can be operated in four languauges and can manage up to 100 currencies. Merchants can receive payments through PayPal, Saferpay, and others.
The free version enables merchants to have one language, one currency, 10 products, 10 product attributes and 10 pages.
All data transmitted is protected by SSL encryption, according to Hostpoint.
Hostpoint says its e-shops can be integrated with online portals and marketplaces, are compatible with popular payment methods and logistics providers, as well as equipped with a multitude of marketing and design tools.
The shops meet all country-specific data protection requirements. ePages can be used for appointment-based services as well, for example a rental car company or hair salon.
