January 17, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Data center and Internet exchange services provider Equinix (equinix.com) announced on Tuesday that Singapore-based managed hosting services provider Swiftroute (swiftroute.com) will move its server infrastructure to Equinix’s Singapore Internet Business Exchange center.
Swiftroute will benefit from Equinix aggregation of networks operating in the facility, as well as the security, environmental and physical infrastructure of the IBX. From within this central Internet hub, Swiftroute can offer its customers direct access to a variety of network providers, enabling a more reliable, cost-effective network infrastructure.
Equinix’s enhanced physical infrastructure will also enable Swiftroute to offer customers a stable and secure platform. The data center’s strong uptime rate will also help to reinforce Swiftroute’s uptime guarantee of 99.8 percent.
“At Equinix’s Singapore IBX center,” says Glenn Lee, Swiftroute’s founder and CEO, “Swiftroute can take advantage of a network-rich environment, thereby increasing the flexibility and reliability in the delivery of our managed hosting services to customers, while reducing networking costs by approximately 30 percent.”
