June 16, 2003 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Switch and Data (switchanddata.com) announced today that it is entering into partnerships with DataMove (datamove.net) and Transitional Data Services (transitionaldata.com), two infrastructure and data migration companies, in order to help companies move their Web sites from distressed hosting providers.

According to Switch and Data, these partnerships will enable the company to help customers make smooth transitions to their colocation facilities across the continental United States.

"Managed hosting and colocation providers can add significant value to their customers by providing a comprehensive and competent migration service," said Todd Harrison, vice-president of alliances for Datamove. Transitional Data Services believes collaboration will provide significant benefits to customers.
