Streamlogics to Merge with Tappedinto.com

December 3, 2003 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Streamlogics Corporation (streamlogics.com), a Toronto-based Webcasting solutions provider, said earlier this week that it will merge with Tappedinto.com (tappedinto.com), a provider of multimedia communications services based in Regina.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The company said the newly merged entity will form Canada’s largest webcasting services vendor and help broaden its presence in the US market.

The company’s head office will be located in Toronto and support offices in Regina, Montreal, Chicago and Nashville.

Shaun McIver will become president and CEO of the merged company.

“The combination of Streamlogics and Tappedinto.com creates a powerful force in the webcasting industry,” said McIver. “The complementary nature of this transaction will significantly enhance our sales, product development, customer support, and network infrastructure capabilities.”

The Regina branch office, according to the company, will provide ongoing research and development, network operations and technical support services.

“This merger leverages the strengths of two very reputable companies” said Dan Baldwin, senior vice president of business development for SaskTel and Streamlogics board of director member. “And maintaining the Regina branch office as the technical headquarters is also expected to create new high-tech jobs in Saskatchewan to support the company?s projected growth plans.”
