Steadfast Networks Buys Web Host The New York NOC

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Data center and Web hosting provider Steadfast Networks (http://steadfast.net) announced on Monday it has acquired hosting provider The New York NOC (www.thenynoc.com). The terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

With the acquisition of The New York NOC, Steadfast Networks says it will continue its expansion in the Northeast region of the US by offering dedicated server, colocation, and VPS hosting services to customers in New York and surrounding areas.

“To continue our growth, we decided to acquire a hosting company in New York that focuses on dedicated server, colocation, and VPS hosting,” says Karl Zimmerman, CEO of Steadfast Networks. “Although we already offered colocation hosting services in New York, acquiring The New York NOC gives us better economies of scale by allowing us to offer more services and reduced pricing for the New York hosting market.”

Steadfast Networks is relatively new to the New York colocation hosting market, having offered these services out of the New York metro area since the third quarter of 2009.

The Chicago-based company has been offering dedicated server, colocation, and VPS hosting services in Chicago for the past five years.

The acquisition of The New York NOC allows Steadfast Networks to provide hosting services in new locations and services.

The New York NOC provides dedicated server hosting, colocation hosting, VPS hosting, and content delivery network services.

The acquisition will provide New York website hosting customers with access to better support, faster responses, and more service offerings
