SRA Signs $48.1m Defense Contract

April 4, 2008 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — SRA (sra.com), a provider of technology and strategic consulting services and solutions to government organizations, announced on Friday it has signed a five-year agreement to provide architectural design and database management and software support to the US Department of Defense for its Defense Manpower Data Center.

Under the terms of the agreement, SRA will provide architectural design, database management and software support to the data center in a contract valued at $48.1 million. SRA says it has more than two decades of experience working with the center, providing a range of systems engineering services, including service-oriented architecture, Web support and identity management.

“SRA has provided services to DMDC for more than 20 years and we are pleased to expand our support to the center,” says Pat Burke, SRA senior VP and director of national security sector. “With an in-depth understanding of the DMDC mission, SRA has partnered with DMDC to deliver performance enabling enterprise-wide systems engineering services to include service oriented architecture, Web services and identity management solutions.”

The Defense Data Manpower Center maintains and protects the privacy of personnel, manpower, training, security and financial data for more than 28 million current and former Defense Department employees. It runs more than 230 databases, websites and programs.

SRA is ranked at #33 on Washington Technology’s 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
