Sprint Provides Hosting, Ethernet to Stealth

June 24, 2002 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Global communications company Sprint (Sprint.com) announced on Monday that it has signed a multi-year, multimillion dollar contract with IP innovator and network operator Stealth Communications (Stealth.net) to provide hosting and Sprint Ethernet services to the New York-based company.

“We chose Sprint because they have everything we’re looking for,” says Shrihari Pandit, president and chief executive officer, Stealth Communications. “In light of Sprint’s long history as an innovator, Stealth is especially looking forward to being among its early customers in New York to receive Gigabit Ethernet service from Sprint. This will enable high-speed connections between Stealth offices and provide us with a definite competitive advantage.”

According to the agreement, Sprint will provide Stealth with managed Web hosting services, supported by competitive service level agreements for network availability and performance. Sprint will also provide a managed media server, which serves as a repository for all types of media on a local area network and a storage area network.
