June 13, 2002 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Global communications firm Sprint (Sprint.com) announced on Thursday that it has expanded its e-commerce services for business customers, providing enhanced online payment processing services powered by electronic payment and risk management solution provider CyberSource Corporation (CyberSource.com).
“The addition of enhanced online payment capabilities highly complements our e-commerce offerings and provides Sprint E|Solutions Center customers with a one-stop solution that is both secure and reliable,” says Keith Paglusch, president of Sprint E|Solutions. “Our customers demand and expect the most secure payment processing infrastructure possible so they can focus on what’s really important to their business – delighting their customers and growing revenues.”
Sprint?s new CyberSource Payment Service offering makes real-time payments possible online via credit, debit and procurement card or electronic check. The service, says Sprint, operates behind the scenes, authorizing and settling electronic payment through its built-in connections with third-party processors and merchant banks. The product integrates smoothly with major commerce platforms, ERP and CRM solutions.
With the CyberSource Payment Service, says Sprint, businesses can rely on fast, secure and reliable payment services worldwide, without suffering the complexity of maintaining a similar system in-house. According to Sprint, CyberSource is the only transaction solution provider to use Public Key Infrastructure-based cryptography to authenticated and secure all of the customer transactions it processes.
