August 28, 2003 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Springboard Managed Hosting (springboardhosting.com)said yesterday it had signed an agreement with Diversified Investment Advisors, a division of Netherlands-based Aegon, one of the world’s largest companies, to provide it with Web hosting services through 2005.

According to the company, which managed infrastructure and hosting solutions for 220 clients, the contract includes a secure cage that has room for up to 80 servers.

Springboard recently opened a $12 million, 12,000 square foot data center in Charlotte, North Carolina. The company also operates an 11,000 square foot facility in Cary, North Carolina.

“We’ve been using Springboard’s Raleigh facility for a secondary site and a local competitor in Charlotte for our production site the past 18 months, and we have determined that Springboard’s business practices, security policies and reliability are a better fit with our business model,” said John Walker, vice president of Diversified Investment Advisors. “When we heard Springboard was opening a Charlotte site we decided to migrate our production systems to their Charlotte facility.”
