June 16, 2005 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- HostingSpot.net (hostingspot.net) announced on Wednesday that it is giving away free Web hosting accounts to students.

"We are excited to be working with the educational community to offer free Web hosting accounts to students," says Jonathan Meersman, president of HostingSpot.net. "The free student accounts will include a variety of options typically reserved for plans purchased by Web developers, such as ASP.NET, PHP, MS SQL databases, MySQL databases, SSI, FrontPage Extensions, Webalizer statistics, email accounts and same day activation."

Founded in 2003 by college Web design professor Jonathan Meersman, HostingSpot.net is an affordable, one-stop, third-party Web hosting solution for students interested in starting their own Web sites.

HostingSpot.net was founded to service students, but has expanded by servicing clients in the public and private sectors.
