Spinsite Offers Free Web Sites
August 2, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider Spinsite (spinsite.com) announced on Monday it has begun offering free one-page Web sites.
Unlike many free Web sites, which are offered on a trial basis, SpinSite says it will host the one-page sites at no charge for as long as they remain in use.
The sites will include 5MB of storage space, 10GB of bandwidth, a photo album, blog, calendar and guest book features. Spinsite is also offering hundreds of customizable themes that differ from templates in that they allow a user to choose the color scheme and placement of Web site components such as photos and text blocks, rather than being restricted by a template.
SpinSite’s Web site builder has the advantage of being entirely online, eliminating the need to download or install any software onto a personal computer. Additional features and services include how-to videos, Web site hosting and continual system upgrades. SpinSite says it is dedicated to making Web site design attainable to anyone, without the need for specialized training.
