Speedera and TrueSpectra team to provide dynamic image service

November 11, 2002 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Speedera Networks Inc. (www.speedera.com), a leader in global content

delivery services, and TrueSpectra, Inc. (truespectra.com), a provider

of high-performance server-based imaging solutions, today announced they

have formed a strategic partnership to create the first dynamic image

serving Web service offered by a Content Delivery Network (CDN).

Through this partnership, TrueSpectra's product is now available as the

Speedera Dynamic Imaging service. Graphics-intensive Web sites can now

benefit from faster, more efficient and dramatically more cost effective

dynamic image serving, through a fully outsourced service, entitled

"Speedera Dynamic Imaging."

Speedera is hosting TrueSpectra's Image Servers within its network, while

providing the integrated storage and distributed image-caching capabilities

required for a complete, turnkey solution. By using TrueSpectra's imaging

technology as a fully outsourced service, combined with the content delivery

and storage services provided by Speedera's global edge network, customers

can integrate dynamic image serving more quickly and easily. Also, because

no investment in hardware or software is required, customers can reduce

their Web site infrastructure and benefit from an extremely cost effective

solution.

"Nearly every site can benefit from image serving technology, but not all

companies are looking for an internally deployed solution," said V. David

footprint" solution so that they can implement without changing their

The Dynamic Imaging service makes Web application development, publishing

and maintenance fast, reliable and cost-effective. The service gives Web

developers an enhanced ability to control their web site, by eliminating

time and expense in creating and managing static Web images. By generating

images on-the-fly, the Dynamic Imaging service makes it faster and easier to

implement changes throughout an entire web site - cutting the time and cost

required for this process by as much as two thirds.

The Dynamic Imaging service also improves the online experience for

consumers. Dynamic Imaging provides the ability to manipulate images

on-the-fly, letting users zoom in, change or customize product images - this

is the online equivalent of holding or viewing a product in person.

The Dynamic Imaging service is available immediately. Pricing for the

service starts at $2,700 per month and includes 1 gigabyte of storage.
