Philipsen becomes the new vice president for Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Thackeray joins the company as regional sales director for UK, Ireland, Middle East and Africa.

Prior to joining SonicWALL, Philipsen previously held senior level management positions with Resilience Corporation, RSA Security, BMC Software, Wang Computers and Texas Instruments. Thackeray come to the company having served in executive positions with companies such as Global Secure Systems, Cylink, Zergo and Digital Equipment Corporation.
