January 11, 2007 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Backup and recovery process solution provider Sonasoft (sonasoft.com) announced on Wednesday the availability of the new version of its data protection solution, SonaSafe for SQL servers.
Sonasoft says this release of SonaSafe contains many advance features including intelligent failover and failback mechanism and specialized script execution before and after a backup task.
With the complexity and sheer volume of data, database administrators need to optimize and maintain their relational databases, says Sonasoft. With Sonasoft SonaSafe for SQL Server’s new functionality to trigger script execution before or after a backup task, administrators can now create plans and tasks that will automatically perform any management task prior to or directly after running a particular backup operation.
Sonasoft also recently announced it has signed a distribution agreement with global IT supply chain services company SYNNEX to distribute Sonasoft products in the US, Canada and Mexico.
