Softbank Deploys SWsoft Solutions

April 4, 2007 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting software provider SWsoft (swsoft.com) announced on Wednesday that data center operator and Web hosting provider Softbank IDC (sbidc.jp/EN) has selected SWsoft’s Virtuozzo virtualization software and Plesk control panel software to enhance the value-added virtual dedicated server service it is launching this month.

With Virtuozzo, each virtual private server is completely isolated to ensure full functionality and security. Due to greater integration with Virtuozzo through SWsoft’s open fusion technology initiative, SWsoft Plesk software will give Softbank IDC’s customers easier and better management capability, says SWsoft.

“Virtuozzo demonstrates excellent performance with low overhead and solid resource management at high workloads and it solves the server resource interference and security issue for shared hosting,” says Makoto Oya, GM of the technical solution department for Softbank IDC. “We are confident that Virtuozzo is the best choice to provide our customers with high-quality Web hosting services.”

SWsoft also recently announced it has launched a new version of its PEM automation platform for native Windows environments to meet the demand from service providers and enterprises with Microsoft data centers.
