September 20, 2002 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — The Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) (SNIA.org) said on Friday that it will be hosting an educational conference on storage networking security from September 24 to 26 at the SNIA Technology Center in Colorado Springs, CO.

The SNIA Security Summit, says SNIA, will be the first industry conference to focus exclusively on storage networking security, and will include tutorials presented by storage security experts from both the public and private sectors.

“At our summit, we plan to address the needs of everyone involved in storage networking security,” says Arnold Jones, SNIA technical director. “From CEOs to CTOs, to engineers to integrators and consultants, we have created the opportunity to make every opinion count.”

The conference will feature a town hall meeting, moderated by Dennis Martin, senior partner of the Evaluator Group, to develop a list of action steps for members of the storage networking community to implement over the next year.

It will also feature a presentation entitled “The New Role of Storage Post-9/11,” given by William P. Crowell, chief executive officer of Cylink and former deputy director of the National Security Agency.
