SmarterTools Releases SmarterStats Version 5.x

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — SmarterTools (www.smartertools.com), developer of a variety of website and business software, including the SmarterMail application, popular among hosting providers, announced last week that it had released the newest version of its web analytics software, SmarterStats version 5.x.

SmarterStats 5.x, says the company, provides businesses with tools for enhancing their SEO strategy and attracting new website visitors. The software includes functions for improving search engine raking and visibility, tracking visitor trends, on-page behavior and conversions and for comparing a site against competing sites for keyword performance, among other features.

“Your website is your storefront, and how you prepare your store for business will have a direct impact on how well your business will do online,” says Tim Uzzanti, CEO of SmarterTools, quoted in the press release. “Ignoring SEO is like having no signs and blank windows in your building. Potential customers will drive past your store, not even realizing you are there.”

Though the mostly consumer-oriented press release doesn’t expressly describe how the software might relate to hosting providers, it does say the application is available “through authorized resellers.” More detailed information about the company’s reseller programs is available at the SmarterTools website.

In November, web hosting provider ActiveServers announced that it had become a SmarterTools reseller, and listed SmarterStats 4.x among the products it would resell to its clients.
