Security provider SiteLock, live chat and click-to-call technology provider WebsiteAlive and ecommerce cybersecurity technology provider SecureBuy announced on Tuesday they have released AliveSecure, a secure online communications and transaction processing solution.
The partnership comes two months after SiteLock first announced its partnership with WebsiteAlive at HostingCon 2013 in June.
The companies are launching the new technology as a software-as-a-service solution designed to secure credit card payments through a website or mobile chat interface.
AliveSecure is the result of the combined efforts of the three companies, which includes the development and custom integration of patented and patent-pending products provided by SiteLock, WebsiteAlive and SecureBuy.
The companies say that the PCI compliant SaaS solution is the first to market and only service available that automates 100 percent of secure payment processing steps in an online environment.
To curb the risk of revenue loss resulting in chargebacks and credits issued, AliveSecure manages the entire checkout process in an online chat session or via a web-enabled mobile session.
Within the chat session, the customer is asked to enter their credit card data in a secure environment. which is then verified using a risk-based authentication process and tokenized to ensure that companies do not have to store their full credit card information.
Once the payment step is completed, the customer will receive a form that captures the biometric signature of the customer, which is also securely stored as part of the transaction.
The automated solution can also decrease staffing costs and the research time needed to manually investigate fraudulent and suspicious transactions.
“At SiteLock, we see thousands of websites impacted by online threats, including potential fraud, every day,” said Neill Feather, president of SiteLock. “So, we are thrilled to be part of this unique solution for online interactions that include payments, which helps protect our customers from revenue loss.”
AliveSecure will first be available to current customers of the three companies and will be expanded to broader markets shortly after that launch.
