SiteGround Offers New Technologies

October 29, 2007 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider SiteGround (siteground.com) announced on Monday it has launched two initiatives that will enable its customers to enjoy the benefits of the latest versions of software. SiteGround says it has introduced the newest cPanel theme, as well as made preparations to accommodate the upcoming version of open source application, Joomla 1.5.

“We introduced the new x3 theme of cPanel 11 on Tuesday, and we were amazed by the amount of positive feedback received in 24 hours,” says Tenko Nikolov, chief technical manager at SiteGround.

The new theme makes the hosting account management more intuitive, but its use was further facilitated by a major tutorial update made by SiteGround. The cPanel, FTP, email and php/mysql tutorials are now include new screenshots, new articles and updated navigation. The tutorials follow the new structure of the new cPanel and describe how to use tools like file and FTP managers, Web mail, phpMyAdmin, Fantastico.

Joomla CMS, which is popular among SiteGround customers, will soon see a new major release. SiteGround says it is currently taking steps to accommodate this new version by offering a new tutorial for Joomla 1.5, Joomla 1.5 free installation, Joomla 1.5 optimized servers and a free Jominal support.
