Site24x7 Offers Website Monitoring Service via New WHMCS Plug-in

Website and web application monitoring service Site24x7 announced on Thursday that it now supports billing and client management platform WHMCS through an integrated plug-in.

According to Site24x7, the integration allows web hosting providers and domain registrars to leverage their existing WHMCS platform to resell Site24x7 services to customers.

Site24x7 services include website uptime, website performance, web application, DNS server and server monitoring, as well as mail server monitoring. Last year at HostingCon, Site24x7 added a new feature that measures user experience scores for websites and applications of web hosting customers.

Prior to the WHMCS integration, web hosts and other companies had to maintain a separate billing and client management procedure to support the Site24x7 reseller program.

“Infrastructure monitoring is moving to the cloud, and that’s giving MSPs and other resellers exciting new value-added services to offer their customers,” Gibu K. Mathew, director of product management, Site24x7.com said in a statement. “Our organization has a proven suite of website and cloud infrastructure monitoring solutions serving more than 72,000 established and emerging enterprise customers and hundreds of partners worldwide. Our new WHMCS integration makes it as easy as possible for web hosts, MSPs and the countless others using WHMCS to add Site24x7 to their menu of services.”

Cloud monitoring is becoming more relevant as organizations put more data across different clouds, and look for a central view into their web applications and servers. Recently, Microsoft acquired cloud monitoring startup MetricsHub to offer Windows Azure customers its cloud monitoring service.

Once a WHMCS user registers as a Site24x7 reseller, the integration set-up requires installing a Site24x7 software plugin into the WHMCS software installation. Once it is installed, end users get a self-service portal where they can purchase website monitoring services.

Site24x7 says its white label resellers can purchase its services at a discounted rate, and decide on their own pricing.
