SingleHop Launches VMware Based Public Cloud Service

Managed and cloud hosting provider SingleHop announced on Tuesday it has launched SingleHop Public Cloud based on VMware cloud infrastructure technology.

The move comes a few weeks after SingleHop has made use of the Standing Cloud platform to launch Hosted Cloud Apps, which enbables customers to find and launch cloud-based applications from inside its LEAP customer portal.

Built to meet the demands of enterprises, the SingleHop Public Cloud provides organizations with reliability, user control, direct professional support.

The VMware vCloud Suite enables users to quickly mirgrate processing workloads from internal to virtual resources as needed.

Users are able to manage their cloud services through SingleHop’s LEAP Control Panel, while the advanced cloud server deployment technology in the VMware vCloud Suite enables users to quickly add or remove cloud servers.

The public service’s failover protection is backed by its scalable SAN-based cloud storage system.

Its hourly usage billing ensures that organizations pay only for the exact resources allocated, while being able to have free 24-hour access to qualified, VMware-certified engineers for support.

The SingleHop Public Cloud’s features include mobile accessibility via SingleHop’s LEAP control panel, autoscaling, hourly billing, SAN-based storage with automatic failover, load balancing, faster deployment with virtual resources being able to deployed more than 5 times faster than previously, template and capture functionality, and support for both Windows and Linux operating systems.
