(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Managed dedicated hosting provider SingleHop (www.singlehop.com) announced on Friday it has completed a build out of its new offices to accommodate more personnel.
The company’s business continues to grow at a rapid rate. Last month SingleHop reported significant revenue and client-base growth, resulting in a 673 percent increase in gross revenues when compared to 2007.
SingleHop entered 2009 with an annual recurring revenue of more than $4.5 million, more than 800 individual customers in over 40 countries, more than 1,500 servers deployed and in production and GAAP profitability achieved in the third quarter of 2008.
The company’s new offices are five times larger than its previous. It now occupies the third and fourth floors at 621 West Randolph in downtown Chicago, which is located near the companies’ network operations center at 601 West Polk St.
At a time when many companies are announcing severe cutbacks, crippled by the ongoing recession, SingleHop has continued to add employees to support its growth.
SingleHop plans to add 15 positions by the second quarter of 2009, making it one of the few technology companies in Chicago that is not only growing but actively hiring.
“We feel that customers respond to a firm that they know, that listens to them and that has continually maintained lower costs and stellar customer services throughout their history,” says Zak Boca, president and CEO of SingleHop. “Many firms are now adopting a survival mentality and applying our principles, shutting the barn door after the horse has left. We built a business around this commitment to our client base and have been rewarded with brand loyalty during the recession.”
The company will soon be announcing a second data center location, as well as a number of development advancements to its LEAP system, and mobile applications for clients to manage their systems.
Founded in 2006, SingleHop has grown to host over 160,000 websites on its network of over 1,500 dedicated servers.
