SingleHop Adds Mobile Portal for BlackBerry

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Managed web hosting provider SingleHop (www.singlehop.com) announced on Thursday it has released a mobile portal specifically designed for Google’s Android based phones, the most popular being the T-Mobile G1, and all BlackBerry devices.

Earlier this month, SingleHop released its SingleHop.mobi remote web hosting control panel, specifically designed for the iPhone, which provides dedicated server customers with administration functions.

With the release of this latest mobile portal, SingleHop customers can now access SingleHop.mobi on their mobile devices from Android and BlackBerry phones, in addition to an iPhone.

This has lead to the development of products like LEAP where customers control their servers through a desktop-like web interface.

Using the mobile portal, SingleHop customers can control their servers and perform a range of functions.

This includes rebooting, viewing bandwidth graphs and hardware details, viewing current and previous invoices, paying invoices, or submitting billing questions, and submitting priority or normal tickets with technical support.

According to the press release, “LEAPmobile is the most robust mobile portal in the industry yielding a great deal of control to customers, and is part of a development schedule to empower SingleHop’s users as much as possible.”

“LEAPmobile allows our customers to have the same level of control over their servers through a mobile device as they would on their desktop through LEAP,” says Andy Pace, VP of Operations at SingleHop. “Not only are we giving our customers tremendous control over our servers, we even give them control over which device they choose to control their servers from.”
