(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Managed web hosting provider SingleHop (www.singlehop.com) announced on Thursday it has expanded its PARAMOUNT series of fully managed servers, adding the new Dual-Core ATOM 330 server to the fully managed server line.
Last month, SingleHop released last week its new SSL-VPN solution, which lets customers control servers through a secure access point by connecting to the SingleHop Private Network.
The web host has added the ATOM-based processors in dedicated servers under the fully managed PARAMOUNT series.
Intel officially launched the dual-core ATOM 330 server solution last September.
The server is priced at $149.00 per month with free setup, and features 1.6 Ghz Clock Speed, 250GB SATA drive, 2048MB of RAM, and 3,000GB of bandwidth.
“PARAMOUNT means that clients can now enjoy access to the greenest, fully managed dedicated server in the market,” says Dan Ushman, SingleHop VP of sales. “PARAMOUNT Series servers offer a hands-off solution by fully managing almost every aspect of the server for the end-user. All that clients have to do is buckle up and upload the site as our team of expert administrators makes sure everything works smoothly.”
SingleHop says it had been testing the market for fully managed, low cost ATOM-based servers over the past several months.
The Intel ATOM processor has a power consumption of only 8 Watts, making it one of the most efficient processors in the world.
The ATOM-based servers use 75 percent less power than an equivalent Pentium 4 based server.
